A black dragon is a kind of dragon that has 1-7 heads, large, leathery wings, can breathe fire, and is of coarse black. If one of their heads are cut off, a new one will instantly grow back. This means it is impossible to kill them via decapitation. They are known for having more than two heads, but the number of their heads differs with them.

It is uncommon to see a black dragon with one head, and 7-headed ones are the rarest. 3-5 headed black dragons are quite common amounst the species.
